A Day at the Collection
Every day starts a little different at the Lingenfelter Car Collection, but one thing always stays the same, there is always something happening. From Open Houses to Car Clubs visiting, the collection is constantly filled with automotive excitement, visitors, and activity throughout the showroom and boutique.

Some mornings begin quietly printing out packing slips, organizing apparel orders, and preparing shipments before the boutique officially opens for the day at 9am. Moving on to inventory checks, and preparing new apparel arrivals for the boutique. Other days start with transport trucks unloading vehicles, customers stopping in from out of town, or preparations for upcoming automotive events we host. Some events include catering companies setting up, tables, chairs and prepping food.
Last week we hosted two private events. One event was a luncheon for an automotive group and the other event we hosted a dinner for a group called Pavement Pounder Events. More Info: https://pavementpounderevents.com

As the day gets moving, the collection begins to come alive. Rare Corvettes, muscle cars, performance builds, and collector vehicles fill the space with color, history, and horsepower. Visitors often walk through the collection slowly, taking in every detail while sharing stories about their own automotive memories and dream cars. It's true, Ken has a story for every car in the collection.

The boutique side of the collection brings a completely different energy. New Corvette apparel, hats, jackets, accessories, drinkware, and gift items are constantly being unpacked, displayed, photographed, and shipped to customers across the country. Seasonal arrivals, event merchandise, and limited edition pieces keep things changing throughout the year.

Behind the scenes, there’s far more happening than most people realize:
- Processing apparel and online orders
- Preparing merchandise for Cars & Coffee events
- Photographing new arrivals for social media and the website
- Organizing displays inside the boutique
- Assisting visitors and collectors
- Coordinating event setup and promotional materials
- Creating content for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
- Planning upcoming automotive weekends and racing events.
Located about 44 miles from downtown Detroit, the collection also stays connected to the excitement of Michigan’s automotive industry and major events like the Detroit Grand Prix.
What makes the atmosphere special is the mix of people who walk through the doors. Some visitors are lifelong Corvette enthusiasts. Others discover the collection while traveling through Michigan. Some come for the cars, while others find themselves spending just as much time browsing the boutique and apparel displays.

By afternoon, the pace usually picks up. Orders are heading out for shipment, social media content is being filmed, event details are being finalized, and visitors continue flowing through the collection. We do not have visitors everyday, but quite frequently.
And even after the doors close for the evening, there’s usually still planning happening for the next event, the next product release, or the next exciting project arriving at the collection.
At the end of the day, the Lingenfelter Car Collection is more than just a bunch of cars, it’s a place where performance, lifestyle, and automotive passion all meet in one space.
While the collection is private and not open to the public, we do have a website to check for events when we are open thelingenfeltercollection.com
