8 Corvette Accessories I Never Leave Home Without
As race season kicks into high gear, I've spent a lot of weekends on the road traveling to autocross events, Corvette gatherings, and track weekends. The more miles I put on my Corvette, the more I've learned which items are worth keeping in the car at all times.
Some are obvious, while others are things I didn't realize I needed until I found myself wishing I had them. Whether you're heading to a local Cars & Coffee, a Corvette show, or a weekend road trip, these are the accessories I always try to keep close by.
1. Microfiber Towels
At the top of my list are microfiber towels. Whether you're wiping away dust before a car show, or drying a spot after getting caught in the rain, they always seem to come in handy.
They take up very little space and are one of those items you'll find yourself reaching for again and again throughout the driving season.
Tip: Keep a few clean microfiber towels stored in a large zippered bag or small plastic container in your frunk or trunk. A weather resistant container helps keep towels clean and dry while also providing a place to store other essentials you may need on the road. Lowe's has a great selection of plastic containers that fit perfectly in the C8 Corvette Frunk or any generation.
If you're looking for quality towels, I recommend the Adam's Polishes microfiber towels we carry at the Lingenfelter Car Collection. If you already have a favorite local automotive shop, support them and pick up a few there. Either way, having microfiber towels in your Corvette is one of the simplest and most useful things you can do.

2. Detail Spray, Window Cleaner, and Waterless Wash
These are my go-to items whenever I'm on the road which is about every weekend!! Window cleaner is at the top of my list, while detail spray and waterless wash are tied for second.
After a few hours of driving, it's amazing how quickly the windshield and side windows can collect bugs, road film, and fingerprints. Clean glass not only makes your Corvette look better, but it also improves visibility and reduces glare.
Detail spray is perfect for removing light dust, water spots, while waterless wash is a lifesaver when your Corvette needs a quick cleanup and a hose isn't available. I've used both countless times at autocross events, car shows, and race weekends.
Tip: Keep a few detailing products and microfiber towels together in a small container in the frunk so they're easy to grab when you arrive at your destination.
We carry a variety of Adam's Polishes products at the Lingenfelter Car Collection, but no matter what brand you prefer, having these three items in your Corvette can help keep it looking its best between washes.

3. Tire Pressure Gauge & Patch Kit
A tire pressure gauge and tire repair kit have earned a permanent spot in my Corvette. As someone who spends a lot of weekends traveling to autocross events and race weekends, tire pressure is something I'm constantly monitoring.
In fact, I almost always keep the tire pressure screen displayed while driving. I want to know immediately if something changes. A sudden drop in pressure can be the first sign of a nail, leak, or other tire issue, and catching it early can prevent a much bigger problem down the road. What screens do you display on your dash?
A tire patch kit is one of those items you hope you never need, but you'll be glad it's there if you pick up a nail miles from home. Most kits are compact and fit easily in the frunk without taking up much space.
I found my tire repair kit on Amazon and keep it with my other road trip essentials. Thankfully, I haven't needed it yet, but it's one of those items that gives me peace of mind every time I hit the road. A $20 investment.
I also purchased this Avid Power Tire Inflator, Portable Air Compressor on Amazon that stays in my C8 year round. $56.99

4. Reusable Water Bottle or Tumbler
Staying hydrated on long drives is easy to overlook. A quality insulated tumbler or water bottle keeps drinks cold for hours and helps reduce the need for disposable cups during road trips.

5. Comfortable Hat
A comfortable hat is something I never leave home without. A good hat helps keep the sun out of my eyes, the wind from blowing my hair around, and makes long days outdoors much more enjoyable.
I've learned that spending hours on concrete and asphalt in the summer sun can be exhausting. A hat may seem like a small thing, but it's one of those items you'll reach for again and again throughout the season.
We Stock these hats that I frequently see people wearing at events. We have the Charcoal in stock and the white is on back order. UPF Protection, moisture wicking.

My advice is to find a hat that fits well and is comfortable enough to wear all day. Once you find one you like, keep it in the car so you're always prepared for your next event.
This Z06 Flexfit is my go to at the moment and I had it with me this past weekend racing in Rantoul, Illinois.

6. Lightweight Jacket or Quarter-Zip
I live for quarter-zips. In fact, there's almost always one in my Corvette.
Weather can change quickly in Michigan, especially during spring and fall driving seasons. A cool morning can turn into a warm afternoon, and by the time you're heading home from an event, temperatures may have dropped again. A lightweight quarter-zip or pullover is easy to store and takes up very little room, but it can make a huge difference in comfort.
They're perfect for layering and easy to take off when the day warms up.
After being caught without one a few times, I've learned it's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

7. Phone Charging Cable
Navigation apps, event information, photos, and music all rely on your phone. A charging cable ensures you're never caught with a dead battery while traveling.
Consider keeping a dedicated charging cable in the car so it's always available when you need it, I'm sure most of you already do. I have one tucked in my luggage, one in the console. Shop Amazon or your local store and stock up!!
8. Emergency Contact and Insurance Information
While it's not the most exciting item on the list, it's one of the most important. Keep current insurance information, registration, roadside assistance details, and emergency contact information easily accessible.
It's a simple step that can save valuable time if an unexpected situation occurs. Here's a $6 investment to keep everything organized.

And finally, the item that always travels with me is this C8 Corvette Racing cooler. If you see me at the track, chances are you'll find this exact cooler sitting right next to my car.

Final Thoughts
Over the years, I've learned that a few simple accessories can make Corvette ownership even more enjoyable. As race season gets underway and the miles start adding up, these are the items I find myself reaching for time and time again.
I'd love to hear what you keep in your Corvette. Is there an accessory you never leave home without? Let me know in the comments.
Safe travels, and I'll see you at the next Corvette event.
